Car Shows Across Wisconsin and Illinois

The Milwaukee Motor Channel travels across Southeastern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois filming some of the most exciting car shows and automotive events in the Midwest. Our goal is to document the incredible creativity, craftsmanship, and passion found within the car show and car club community.

While most of our filming takes place in Wisconsin and Illinois, we are always open to traveling to new events whenever our budget and schedule allow. Every show we attend is an opportunity to highlight the people, vehicles, and unique cultures that make car shows such an important part of automotive life.

Big Rim Car Shows
These shows feature Donks, Box Chevys, and other big rim builds known for their bold paint jobs, custom interiors, and oversized wheels.

Lowrider Shows
Lowrider culture focuses on craftsmanship, hydraulic suspension systems, and beautifully detailed vehicles designed to ride low and smooth on smaller rims.

Classic Car Shows
Classic car enthusiasts celebrate automotive history by restoring and preserving vehicles to maintain their original look, performance, and heritage.

2025 Car Shows That We Visited

In 2025, The Milwaukee Motor Channel traveled across the Midwest and beyond to capture some of the most exciting car shows and automotive events in the country. Throughout the year we attended 16 different car shows, documenting the incredible vehicles, car clubs, and automotive culture that make these events so special.

One of the highlights of the year was traveling to Atlanta, Georgia to attend the famous Rick Ross Car & Bike Show, one of the largest and most unique celebrity car shows in the United States.

Closer to home, we visited Chicago, Illinois for the Slow & Low Lowrider Car Show, where beautifully customized lowrider cars, car clubs, and custom builds took center stage.

We also spent a significant amount of time at Great Lakes Dragaway in Union Grove, Wisconsin, covering high-performance vehicles and drag racing events that showcase the speed and engineering behind the automotive world.
